(Ok- so the "cable/internet/nintendo" generation line threw me off,but- "saving up for a house should have clued me in." So much for reading carefully. I think I was getting you mixed up with Gem... lovely me, eh?)

Plus- I'm 27- and I had, previously, always considered myself the generation prior to internet-
but maybe that's just because my parents were too cheap to get cable (we finally bootlegged it when I was 15), didn't believe in nintendo and feared computers....
I'm forty-one and can state for certain:
1) Pong came out in the 70s, Nintendo in the 80s.
2) Cable TV was available in 1972(possibly earlier, but I lived in LA then), but mostly for those of us who couldn't get broadcast due to geographic issues. It didn't become widely popular until the very late 70s/early 80s.
3)The Internet has existed since the 60s, but again didn't get really popular until the advent of html and the world wide web, which is only a part thereof, in the very late 80s.

I'm two years older than Lulu, and I consider myself to be part of the internet generation. Maybe because my generation actually speaks english while using it?

Well I'm 34. I was in high school by the time we got a converter box to get cable. We didn't get an Atari system until well after it was the big thing. So I guess you could say I was a member of the "air-guitar generation". 'Cause that's all I did.
Carl: "Hey Jimmy, is baseball really America's pastime?"

Carl: "Why not air-guitar?"
Jimmy: "Go figure..."

Believe it or not, while I was in the Corps I met a guy from Ohio who said his town, or a nearby place, had air-guitar competitions.
We had air guitar competitions in our town. I still remember the guy who won. He did an amazing Billy Idol air guitar show. [img]smile.gif[/img]
You know they still have international air guitar competitions? Yup, that right! I just read about one that just happened in Australia, I think. It drew competitors from all over the world. I'm sure you could find some info on the internet somewhere, (if you have nothing better to do). [img]wink.gif[/img]
